Gentlemen:

On October 15, 1991, TU Electric orally notified the NRC of a potentially reportable deficiency in which internal pitting corrosion was found on all four Main Steam Isolation Valves (MS!Vs).

The investigation and the evaluation are continuing and our next report will be submitted no later than January 14, 1992.
