Applicants' Carolina Power & Light Company and North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency (" Applicants") submit this supplement to their responses to Wells Eddleman's General Interrogatories and Interrogatories on Contention 29/30, pursuant to the Board's Memorandum and Order (Ruling on Discovery Disputes), dated October 6, 1983 (" Order on Discovery").

Applicants provide the information contained in Attachment 1 i

to Intervenor Eddleman in compliance with the Board's Order on i

Discovery at 10. This information has recently become available to Applicants and relates to Interrogatory 29-1(g) as well as Interrogatory 29-10 (a) , parts (i), (ii), and (iii).

Applicants have also provided to Mr. Eddleman, by letter dated October 20, 1983, Attachement 2, general vendor information which describes in a gene::ic manner filter equipment and functions, I

Applicants previously provided the information requested

-by Intervenor Eddleman's Interrogatory 29-6(f) pursuant to the Board's Memorandum and Order (Ruling on Spent Fuel Transportation Contentions and Miscellaneous Motions), dated August 24, 1983 at 10-11. This information was provided in " Applicants' Second Supplemental Responses to Wells Eddleman's General Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents on Contentions 29 and 37B,"

dated September 23, 1983. This submittal also satisfies Inter-rogatory 29-25 (b) , which repeated verbatim the relevant subparts of Interrogatory 29-6 (f) .

By providing the information contained in this supplemental response, in conjunction with the material contemporaneously provided to Intervenor Eddleman by letter, Applicants have satisfied all pending discovery requests with respect to Eddleman Contention 29/30.
