Dear Mr. Seidle :
This letter provides an interim report on a potential 10CFR50.S5(e) matter concerning the installation of vulkene Supreme Cable at Wolf Creek Generating Station. This item was initially reported by Kansas Gas and Electric Company on June 20, 1983 and additional information was provided in the Reference.
The Architect / Engineer has just completed the evaluation of this concern and KG&E should receive the results within the next two weeks.
Upon receipt of these results, KG&E will assess the reportability of this matter and provide any required reports at that time. In any event, KG&E will provide a final or interim report on this subject on or before November 23, 1983.
In the interim, please direct any questions concerning this subject to me or to Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff.
