BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 3 - POTENTIAL DEFICIENCY ON LAMINATIONS IN MAIN STEAM LINE PIPING TEE i
Initial report of the subject potential deficiency was made on September 9,1974.
In compliance with paragraph 50.55(e) of 10 CFR Part 50, this is submitted as an interim report.
l On September 6, 1974, during veld preparation on the subject tee, an indication of a lamination was found in the veld prep area. A complete ultrasonic examination of the tee was per-

formed September 7 and 8.
j This equipment comes under General Electric's scope of supply and General Electric is evaluating the subject deficiency.
We hope to have GE's final evaluation and submit the final report to you by November 8,1974.
