SUMMARY

MAY,1995 Oyster Creek entered May at 100% reactor power. A maintenance-power reduction (a forced downpower delayed until the weekend) commenced on May 5 to remove the C-Feedwater String and replace the C-High Pressure Feedwater Heater's tube side relief valve (V-4-87). After the valve replacement was completed, power was reduced to 33% to perform the quarterly MSIV full closure surveillance. After successful completion of the surveillance, power was raised to 70% to replace the C-Feedwater Pump's inboard and outboard bearings and seals. The plant returned to full load on May 11 following the repairs, and remained at full power for the remainder of the month.

The plant generated 440,064 MWH net electric and attained a MDC net capacity factor of 95.6% for the month.
