Dear Mr. Vassallo:
By letter dated March 17, 1983, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submitted the NRC Staff our position relative to the need for plant modifications associated with NUREG-0737 Item II.'i.3.18, ADS Logic Modifications.
Subsequently, by letter dated June 3, 1983 you requested CP&L to choose one of the two NRC-accepted options for modifying the present ADS actuation logic.
During review of your June 3, 1983 request, we noted that your request made no reference to nor appeared to take into account CP&L's March 17, 1983 submittal concerning the subject item. During several recent discussions with the NRR Project Manager, Mr. Sam D.
