Dear Mr. Jordan:

South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Prompt Notification System In a letter dated June 30, 1982, from Mr. J. H. Goldberg to Mr. Brian Grimes, Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) committed to provide a schedule for the implementation of the South Texas Project Prompt Notification System by July 1983. This letter addresses the subject schedule.

On May 17, 1983, HL&P submitted in a letter from Mr. J. H. Goldberg to Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut the South Texas Project Schedule of Licensing Activities.

Included in the attachment to that letter is the schedule for the implementation of the South Texas Project Prompt Notification System. HL&P will either confirm the schedule or reschedule implementation activities as necessary by June 1984.
