In accordance with R0 '3ulletin llo.74-10A, Actions Requested of Licensecs Section 2,

/ cccessible welds in byoass piping lines around the recirculation pu;.,p discharge valves on Unit 2 were re-examined by means of ultrasonic testing.

Three weld abnorrnalitics were discovered. Plans are being forrr.ulated for replacement of the subject Unit 2 bypass piping lines around the recirculation pump discharge valves.

This occurrence wcs discussed by telephone with Mr. Knop of your of fice on December 23.
