March 21, 1977 Mr James G Keppler Office of Inspection and Enforcement Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Cc==ission T99 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 6013T DOCKET 50-255 - LI " "r DPR PALISADES PLANT - E 0 AND EI'-TT TECUICAL SPECIFICATIONS LIMITS - SODIL"4 As a result of recent discussion between members of your staff and the Palisades Plant staff, I have atte=pted to clarify the reporting requirements of Technical Specification 3.18 (see attached letter dated February 8, 1977).
It is Consumers Power's contention that secondary water chemistry para =eters need not be reported unless the specified limit is exceeded for the ti=e limits stated in Sections 3 18.2, 3.18.3, 3.18.k, and 3 18.5 Until this matter is resolved by the Operating Reactor Branch, we vill report. chem-istry excursions that exceed Table 3.18.1 limits while at power.
Therefore two previously identified potential Event Reperts are submitted.
