Dear Mr. Davis:

Re: RO:II:JGD - Dockets Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Regarding the verification of valve wall thickness, of valves within the reactor coolant pressure boundary of Turkey Point Plant Units 3 and 4, we are actively developing a program to assemble records as requested in your recent letter.

As your inspec~ tors are aware, approximately 10% of the subject valves have been examined ultrasonically to date and in some cases valve wall thickness was increased by approved procedures. Documentation has been examined at the plant site by your inspectors.

At present, a plan is being drawn up to document thickness of the balance of the valves and it will be sent to you by about mid-September.

In the meantime, our records on this ' subject are open to your inspectors ts usual to establish that we are complying with your request.
