Quad-Cities Station Suecial Reoort No. 2
Dear Mr. Giambusso:
Attached is Quad-Cities Station Special Report No. 2.
This report is submitted as the result of the incident of August 20, 1972, on Quad-cities Unit 2 when a jet pump failed.
Inspection of the jet pumps on Unit 1 will be performed during the refueling outage, presently scheduled
[
for the fall of 1973.
As a result, additional surveillance 1
requirements have been placed on Quad-cities Unit 1 while the incident is being analyzed.
Continuation of the increased surveillance is under review by the ccmmonwealth Edison Company at this time as a result of this. report.
Modified Technical Specifications, as discussed in'Section VII of this report, will be submitted shortly for the Quad-Cities Station.
