Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Fire Protection - Exemption Withdrawal By my letter of September 16, 1983, GPU Nuclear has requested schedule exemptions from the requirements of 10 CFR 50.48(c). One exemption request referenced the alternate shutdown system and our proposed schedule of having it cceplete and operational by the end of the Cycle 12 refueling outage. 'Inis proposed schedule would have exceeded the completion requirement of 10 CFR 50.48(c)(4) and therefore the need for the exemption request.
GPU Nuclear has determined that the alternate shutdown system can be installed and made operational by the end of the Cycle 11 outage. This schedule will meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50.48(c)(4) and are therefore by this letter withdrawing our schedule exemption request for the alternate shutdown system.
