Dear Mr. Denton:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g), enclosed for NRC staff use and review are ten copies of Unit 1 Revision 7 and Unit 2 Revision 3 (both dated April 20, 1984) to the McGuire Nuclear Station pump and valve inservice testing program. These revisions correct typographical errors in the current revisions, and reflect changes to the alternate testing of the containment building spray pump dis-charge valves necessitated by personnel safety considerations. These should be incorporated into your Unit 1 and 2 pump and valve inservice testing manual, removing any earlier version pages of the program. Should there be any questions concerning the basis for any of the changes, please advise.
Duke Power Company lift' ends to implement the Unit 1 and 2 program as revised on an interim basis pending approval by the NRC.
By copy of this letter, one copy of the above documents are also being provided to NRC-Region II.
