BASIS FOR FPOR-7:

To suppress incipient fires, dry chemical,

Halon, and Carbon Dioxide portable fire extinguishers are provided throughout the station in potential fire hazard areas.

NFPA 10, Portable Fire Exinguishers, is used as guidance for the location, selection,

(

maintenance, and testing of these extinguishers.

These extinguishers are also approved by Underwriters Laboratories.

The extinguishers are inspected periodically to verify their presence in the designated location, that they are fully charged, l and are operable.

This will ensure they are available and contain l

sufficient capacity should their use be required.
