Abnormal Occurrence #75-1 Failure of the Steam Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump to respond properly during surveillance test, Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
This is to confirm my phone call to Mr. Walter Baunack today to report Abnormal Occurrence # hat Ginna Station.
Whilc, conduc ting the montbly PT-16, (Auxiliary Feedwater Flow) surveillance i
tes t on Jc.n.:ary 0, 1975, the s teu dr iven auxiliary feedwater_ pump _ tripped ou_t af ter running f or apprcximately 15 seconds.
The pump uns started tuo I
more tines, and each tire it again tripped out af ter 15 seconds.
The low lube oil pressure trip setpoint was adjusted and then the pump was started I
l again.
This time the pump remained in operation and the PT-16 surveillance test was completed with no further problems.
