Abnormal Occurrence 75 Failure of the IC Safety Injection Pump to Start Manually from Buss 16 Ginna Station Docket #50-244
Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

Abnormal Occurrence 75-03 at Ginna Station.
While conducting a rctest of the IC Safety injection Pump on Buss 16, the pump failed to start manually the first time it was tried.
It,was started again and it did start successfully.
This test was part of tlie action taken in the investigation of Abnormal Occurrence 75-02 dated February 5, 1975 The PORC met and recommended a the' ough inspection of the holding coil of the lockout relaying and the breaker by the Electricians.
Any further action that is necessary will be carried out after the Electricians report back to PORC.
