Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-29 Core Operating Limits Report Submittal (Cycle 8),

Revision 3 GNRO-95 / 00064 Gentlemen:

Entergy Operations, Inc., is submitting for your use and information Revision 3 of the Core Operating Limits Report f

(COLR) for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS).

This report incorporates cycle specific information for GGNS Cycle 8 operation and is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.5.

GGNS Cycle-specific reload parameters for MCPR, LHGR, and MAPLHGR operating limits are controlled by the Mechanical Standard, GGNS-MS-48.0, called the Core Operating Limits Report or COLR. An extensive review of the changes associated with the Cycle 8 reload has been performed. This review includes an Entergy Operations, Inc. technical review of Siemens Power Corporations' (SPC) calculations and methodologies, GGNS design and licensing basis documents, i

and previous NRC correspondence. A 10CFR50.59 safety evaluation performed for the Cycle 8 reload determined that there were no unreviewed safety questions associated with the changes.
