Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

Re: St. Lucie Unit 2 Docket No. 50-389, 10 CFR 50.55(e),82-019 Bent Small Bore Piping Not Inspected On October 13, 1982, Florida Power and Light notified the NRC of a potential 10 CFR 50.55(e) condition existing at St. Lucie Unit #2 site involving inspection of approximately 240 small bore (2 inches and under) piping bends.

Florida Power and Light then submitted an interim report requesting a response date of January 28, 1983. The piping inspection is complete but the results are still undergoing engineering evaluation, therefore, Florida Power and Light will not be able to complete the final report by January 28, 1983.

Florida Power and Light will complete the engineering evaluation and submit a final response by February 22, 1983.

Very truly yours,
