In the Matter of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON) - UPDATED FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT (UFSAR), AMENDMENT 11 AND 10 CFR 50.59 REPORT P0fer'ance: TVA letter to NRC dated November 16, 1992, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) - New Frequency for Submitting Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Updates and 10 CFR 50.59 Reports" As required by 10 CFR 50.71(e), TVA is providing you ten copies of Amendment 11 of the SQN UFSAR. This amendment is intended to reflect the as-constructed condition of the plant between October 15, 1993 and November 16,'1994. The changes reflected by Amendment 11 are the result of modifications to the facility, procedure changes, and other administrative changes.

As required by 10 CFR 50.59(b) (2), one copy of the SQN 10 CFR 50.59 report is also provided. This report'contains summaries of the safety evaluations performed for the period of January 1, 1994 to November 16, 1994.

As noted in the referenced letter, TVA originally planned to submit the Amendment 10 UFSAR and 10 CFR 50.59 report for SQN within six months following the end of the Unit 2 Cycle 6 refueling outage (initially scheduled to begin September 17, 1993, and end November 20, 1993).

Following the change in schedule for SON's Unit 2 Cycle 6 refueling outage (extended to begin July 4, 1994), TVA submitted Amendment 10 in April 1994 to comply with the 24-month reporting frequency. TVA is submitting Amendment 11 at this time to reestablish the baseline reporting frequency of within six months following the end of SON's Unit 2 refueling outages.
