On July 19, 1983 I reported to you the failure f rirycf seismic testing of the type CFD differential relays suppl $ed by RTE Delta l
on the emergency diesel-generator control panels for the j
TUSI-Comanche Peak and the Consumers-Midland Nuclear Stations (copy of this letter is attached).
As stated at the conclusion of my letter, I now advise the following with regard to resolution of these failures.
With regard to the equipment at Comanche Peak, we have been informed that TUSI has procured the prequalified replacement relays we recommended and we have quoted a suitable price to cover the work to update all permanent records impacted by this action.
This we will do as soon as we receive the proper authorization.
I presume TUSI had done what ever field work is required.
With regard to the equipment at Midland, we have been authorized to provide prequalified replacement relays and revise all our permanent records accordingly.
The records have been revised and the material is on order.
When received, we will make arrangements to have them installed in accordance with the revised drawings.
We now consider these two failures resolved.
