Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362, Generic Letter 89-10: Safety-Related Motor-0perated Valve Testing and Surveillance, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2, and 3 This letter is to notify the NRC that Southern California Edison (Edison) has completed the design-basis reviews, analyses,. verifications, tests, and inspections to comply with recommendations (a) through (h) of Generic Letter (GL) 89-10 for San Onofre Unit 2.
Edison initially responded to GL 89-10 by the January 11, 1990, letter, referenced above.
The GL 89-10 motor operated valve testing began during the Unit 2, Cycle 6 refueling outage and was completed during the Unit 2, Cycle 8, refueling outage. A GL 89-10 closure report for Unit 2, dated April 19, 1995, is being retained at San Onofre and is available for your review.
