Schrage, et al) on April 27,1995.
l In Reference (1), Comed submitted a proposed Core Shroud Inspection Plan for the Quad Cities Station Unit 2 core shroud, in accordance with NRC Generic Letter 94-03 [ Reference (2)]. Comed performed preliminary core shroud inspections during the current Quad Cities Unit 2 refuel outage, prior to installation of the core shroud repair hardware. Comed will complete the remaining core shroud inspections following installation of the repair hardware.
In the Reference (3) teleconference, the NRC staff requested additional information pertaining to the acceptance criteria for vertical weld inspections. This letter transmits the requested information as an Attachment " Quad Cities Units 1 & 2 Core Shroud Repair, Design Reliant Structures Inspection Requirements and Acceptance Criteria."
To the best of my knowledge and belief, the analyses and evaluations contained in these documents are true and correct. In some respects these documents are not based on my personal knowledge, but on information furnished by other Commonwealth Edison employees, contractor employees, and/or consultants. Such information has been reviewed in accordance with company practice, and I believe it to be reliable.
