This amendment includes material for Chapter 13 of the FSAR. For a brief description of the changes made by this amendment, see the Summary of Amendment 74 which precedes the Removal and Insertion Instructions for this amendment.

tion of new pages for Amendment 74 in the FSAR for Units 1 and 2 Diablo Canyon Site. The new pages are marked " Amendment 74" and "(January 1979)" and contain both amended and supplementary material. This material is indicated by a verti-cal bar with the figure "74" inscribed in the adjacent margin of the page.

Where such marks appear adjacent to a blank portQon of a page, a deletion is 1

ind ica ted. Where pages have been changed only to reposition material, with no ,

change in content, only the amendment number and the date are given.

Since the FSAR is printed on both sides of sheets of loose-leaf paper, the front or back page of an Amendment 74 sheet may be reprinted with no change.

Such pages are not identified with amendment number and date. .
