SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT THREE MARCH, 1984 03-0,1 to 03-22 Unit 3 was shutdown during this period. Preparations were being made to bring the reactor critical which occurred on the 22nd at 2056 hours0.0238 days
0.571 hours
0.0034 weeks
7.82308e-4 months
. Shortly thereafter, after some initial core testing, heatup was commenced to bring the unit on-line.

03-22 to 03-31 Heatup continued for several more hours after which time it was ordered to roll the main turbine to bring on-line.

When the turbine reached about 1,000 RPM, a severe vibra-tion occurred. The turbine was then tripped at about 1300 RPM.

Investigation into the vibration found that the turbine H.P. rotor had bowed and rubbed. It will be an additional a to 6 weeks until the turbine is repaired. The status of the unit remains "In Refuel".
