Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to confirm a telephone report made by car Assistant Plant Manager, Mr.
E.L. Townley, to Mr. D.C. Boyd, NRC Region III, at 1503 hours0.0174 days <br />0.418 hours <br />0.00249 weeks <br />5.718915e-4 months <br /> on December 20, 1983, at which time we reported that during the investigation of an instrument failure of the Unit 1 Vent Stack Monitoring Instrumentation which occurred on November 25, 1983, it was discovered that the Action Statement in Technical Specification Table 3.3-13, 3b and c was not met in that samplee required for weekly analysis were not continuously collected with auxiliary campling equipment.
Mr.
E.R. Swanson, NRC Senior Resident Inspector, was also advised of this occurrence on December 20, 1983, at 1455 hours0.0168 days <br />0.404 hours <br />0.00241 weeks <br />5.536275e-4 months <br />.
As required by Technical Specification 6.9.1.12 a followup report will be submitted within fourteen days.
