Perry Nuclear Power Plant Docket Nos. 50-440; 50-441 Extension Request Concerning the Governor Drive Coupling [RDC 59(82)]
Dear Mr. Keppler:
Our letter to you dated June 14, 1983, stated that the governors from the Standby Diesel Cencrators were being returned to the manuf acturer for inspection, overhauling, and recalibration and that the rework necessary to correct the subject condition would be complete by October 31, 1983 (Unit 1), and December 31, 1983 (Unit 2).
The governors were returned from the manuf acturer and the necessary rework for Unit I has been completed. However, rework for Unit 2 must be delayed to allow storage of the governors in the warehouse pending completion of other construction work in the immediate area. We now anticipate completion of Unit 2 work by May 1, 1984.
