By letter dated December 23 1983, Administrative Judge John H. Frye. III, presiding officer of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in the UCLA reactor case, wrote to you regarding serious allegations of misconduct on the part of members of the Commission's staff. These matters related to certain representations made to the ASLB by the Staff as to issues in controversy in the proceeding regarding the adequacy of security precautions at the UCLA facility.

These are serious matters, and CBG will cooperate to the full extent possible with your investigation. In particular, we are prepared to identify for you documents already in the record and provide you with others, as well as any clarification or additional information your office may require as it pursues this matter.
