Interrogatory No. 2 j Regarding Attachment 1 in July 3, 1980 letter from P.E.'s John S. Kemper to Mr. Boyce Grier, regarding USNRC IE Region 1 letter dated June 4, 1980 regarding 50-352-353-80-02 involving obsolete drawings (0-1182 Revision 5 and C-1183 Revision 10) how much work was done using those obsolete drawings? Show all inspection reports of work performed using'those obsolete drawings, with sworn statements that all inspections were made and status of deficiencies found.

Answer There is no indication that any work was performed using these obsolete drawings. Page 4 of IE Inspection Heport 50-352-353-80-02 further describes the circumstances surrounding the drawings lef t on the platform:

The inspector during a tour, observed that several drawings were on a platform next to -

two iron workers erecting portions of a platform ,

in Unit 1 reactor building at elevation 300 feet.

The inspector asked the iron workers if they were using the drawings for erecting the platform. They stated that the drawings did not belong to them and they were not using them..."

It was determined that the drawings belong to the iron workers' foreman and that the designated 5

area had received updated drawings of C-1182 and C-1183."

i There is no indication that inspections were' performed using these obsolete drawings. Quality control Inspection Records C-1179-C-63-7 and C-1179-W-4, for erection of the Unit 1 Reactor Building Platforms at approximately 300 feet, reference the correct revision of the parent drawing. These QCIR's are available for inspection and copying (Discovery 19, Item 2) .
