Dear Sir:
In the Reference 1 letter, Philadelphia Elect.ric Company submitt.ed to the NRC a request for exemption from cartain requirements of Appendix J to 10CFR50.
In the response to this request (Reference 2), the NRC stated that review of the exemption to exclude t.he measured main st.eam isolation valvo leakage retes from the combined local leak rate testing limit of 0.6La is continuing.
Accordingly, Philadelphia Electric Company withdrcws t.his particular request for exemption from certain requirements of Appendix J to 10C'FR50.
It is our intent to recalculate main steam isolation valve leakage in accordance with the Boiling Water Reactor Owners' Group effort to increase main steam isolat. ion valvo leakage 1!mits.
Upon completion of this effort, a resubmittal of the exemption request will be considered.
