Dear Mr. Schwencer:
Attached is the subject questionnaire completed by Illinois Power Company for the Clinton Power Station per the request in the telecopy of December 6, 1983 from Mr.
G. A.
Harrison, NRC Clinton Licensing Project Manager.
In order to understand this summary the following clcrifications are provided:
1)
The experience data reported in this summary is for those people who have been hired by Illinois Power Company.
Future personnel changes could change the data prior to the receipt of license.
2)
The number of shifts, number of ROs, number of SROs and particular qualifications listed in this summary are not to be interpreted as commitments.
The FSAR lists the minimum personnel qualifications committed to by Illinois Power Company.
3)
The summary does not allow space for reporting the number of associates degrees held by shift operations personnel.
At this tine this number is twelve technical associates degrees and 2 non-technical associates degrees.
4)
Approximately 15 of the senior shift personnel participated in a series of company sponsored technical courses.
This series consisted of 12 University of Illinois math, and engineering courses; plus 3 physics courses from Richland Community College.
Eight of the University of Illinois courses were taught at the advanced undergraduate level; the remaining four were taught at the introductory level.
Topics covered included Thermodynamics, Radiation Protection, Radiochemistry, Materials, Instrumentation and Heat Transfer.
