The Board of Directors of Carolina Power & Light j approved today tae cancellation of Unit 2 of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
The schedule for Unit 1 remains unchanged.
In our opinion, the cancellation will not significantly change safety or environ-mental analyses, although certain structural modifications of the sort required as a result of the cancellation of Units 3 and 4 will be necessary.
Applicants will file an appropriate amendment to their operating license application in the near future.
