ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PR(POSED OPERATMNPF-4 AND NPF-7 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT N05. 1 AND Z In a recent telephone conversation between Vepco and members of your staff, clarification was requested as to the materials of construction of the neutron absorber spent fuel rack leveling pads and leveling screws.
The leveling pads are constructed of 304 stainless steel (ASTM A240).
The leveling screws are constructed of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel (ASTM A564 Gr630) with a chrome plating to prevent galling.
