Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Fire Protection, 10CFR50.48 The enclosed document entitled, " Fire Hazards Analysis Report and Appendix R Section III.G Safe Shutdown Evaluation" is provided in response to your letter of April 30, 1982, addressed to Mr. P. B. Fiedler. The report documents the results of the reassessment of the fire protection features at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station for conformance to the specific requirements of Section III.G of Appendix R to 10CFR50 and includes recommended modifications to meet the requirements or justifications for exemptions from the requirements based upon the fire hazards analysis.
As a result of Generic Letter 83-33 dated October 19, 1983, we are currently reassessing our exemptions and justifications as they relate to fire areas and zones. Section 1.3 of the attached report will be revised and forwarded to you by January 30, 1984.
