I SPECIAL REPORT CATAWilA NUCIIAR STATION, UNIT 1 Vibration and Loose Parts Monitoring System Channel 11 On August 9,1991, Channel 11 (Steam Generator C) of the Vibration and Ixose Parts Monitoring System was declared inoperable due to high background noise on the c The channel will not be repaired until a future outage because a containment en required. Channel 7, which is the other Steam Generator C Channel, is operable and provides coverage.

Since the channel has been inoperable for more than 30 days, it is reportable to the N pursuant to Technical Specification 3.3.3.9.
