NIAGARA M0 HAWK POWER CORPORATION NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT #1 NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The station operated during the month of November 1983 with a monthly availability factor of 100.0% and a net design electrical capacity factor (DER) of 92.4%.

Reduction in capacity factor was due to power reduction for control rod maneuvering on November 5 and power reduction due to turbine control oil pressure problems November 15 through November 20.

1. 122 M.S. Rad. Monitor reading low.

(Replaced connector and recalibrated.)

24181 - #12 Inst. Air Comp. not loading properly.

(Installed new S.O.V.)

24160 - Liquid poison level indicator reading low.

(Cleaned and checked.)

CLA.SS I WORK - MAINTENANCE - NOVEMBER 1983 WR #24065 - Added oil to snubbers #39-HS-22 and 39-HS-33, 24093 - Removed, cleaned and replaced strainer with new flex gasket in CRD suction strainer EP #50-117.

24100 - Repaired vent on #121 corespray pump, 21843 - Rebuilt and tested snubber removed from 39-HS-18 location.

21844 - Rebuilt and tested snubber removed from 39-HS-19 location.

21360 - Rebuilt and tested snubber removed from 39-HS-21 location.

214157 - Found loose fittings on 29-HS-6 snubber. Tightened fittings.

Oil level OK.

24175 --Snubber 39-HS-24 fluid level low. Filled with new fluid.

24197 - Snubber 29-HS repairtd leak and 0-rings.

23093 - Feedwater valve 51 replaced nut that was loose.

18630 - 3/4" drain valve adjacent to 29 weld nipple in drain line and removed same.

CLASS I WORK - ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE - NOVEMBER 1983 WR #24001 - Rx. Bldg. vent exhaust fan BV202 checked damper limits.

24077 - 12 FW Pump Motor Bearings - disassembled, cleaned and reassembled.

N1-MST-M1 - 125 VDC batteries, cell specific gravities and battery voltage MO 3406 - Appendix R, fire protection I
