.N.f0Fkjk uli Secretary of the Commission Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555 Attention: Docketing and Service Branch Gentlemen:

I have been reading and hearing about the proposal being made that would allow storage of high-level radioactive waste from the nuclear plant at Comanche Peak until well into the next century.

From all indications the storage of the high-level nuclear wastes is being called a temporary thing while the Federal Officials search for a permanent burial site. I have also read a notice that application has been made for a permit which authorizes discharges of wastewater from the nuclear plant into Squaw Creek Reservoir, and then into Squaw Creek.

Please have the records show that I am opposed to this. I own a ranch at Glen Rose and Squaw Creek runs through my property.

I am the only owner of property that Squaw Creek runs through.

It runs along the edge of properties owned by other individuals.

My son, and his family, live on this ranch, and our plans are to keep the acreage in the family for many years in the future.

My grandchildren play in the creek, the cattle drink from it, we have fish in it, the water wells are right by it, and in general there is not any way possible to avoid not using it and enjoying i t, if a family oriented type of existance is to remain there.

Surely you can understand that it would be completely disastrous for this discharge to be allowed. -

I would also like to stress that I, as a business man, would certainly like to enjoy being paid for services while they are being buil t, just as the utility companies are being paid. I again state that I am strongly opposed to every bit of this.

I strongly urge everyone to do everything possible to prevent this storage of high-level waste from taking place, and also I urgenfly request that the discharge of these waste materials into Squaw Creek not be allowed.
