COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) - UNIT 1 DOCKET NO. 50-445 COMMITMENT TO INSTALL DRAINS AND VENTS IN THE AUXILIARY FEEDWATER SYSTEM REF: NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-445/90-03; 50-446/90-03 Gentlemen:
NRC Inspection Report 50-445/90-03, 50-446/90-03 dated February 16, 1990, documented TU Electric's intent to install additional drains and vents in the auxiliary feedwater system. The Unit 1 installations were planned to be completed during the Unit 1 first refueling outage as noted in the Inspection Report.
Recent material delivery difficulties have challenged our ability to complete these installations as planned during the upcoming refueling outage. As such, our schedule for completing these installations has been revised to no later than the startup following the second Unit i refueling outage.
This letter is intended to document this revised schedule as requested during discussions between Mr. R. P. Baker of TU Electric and-Mr. W. D. Johnson, NRC Senior Resident at CPSES, Unit 1.
