NORTH ANNA NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENSES NPF-4 AND NPF -7 On November. 18, 1983 the Commission issued Amendment Nos. 49 and 33 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-4 and No. NPF-7, respectively, for the North Anna Power Station, Units No. I and No. 2 (NA-182).
The Amendments revised the Facility Operating Licenses to reflect the partial ownership of NA-182 by the Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC).
The Amendments were to be effective within 30 days of the date of issuance.
The United' States Department of Agriculture Rural Electrification Administra-tion (REA)'has provided a loan guarantee to ODEC that enables them to purchase their interest in NA-1 and 2.
Due to the volume of documentation associated with that loan guarantee, REA has informed ODEC that it will be enable to close the transaction earlier than December 21, 1983.
Because the 30-day effective period for the Amendment stated in the Commission's November 18, 1983 letter expires on December 18, 1983, Vepco is hereby requesting the Commission to extend the period within which the Amendments are effective by an additional 30 days.
This would make the closing of the partial sale of NA-1&2 no later.than January 17, 1984.
Your cooperation in approving, prior to December 18, 1983, our proposed extension of the period within which the Amendments are effective is appreciated.
