OPERATIONAL

SUMMARY

MARCH 1995 BROWNS FERRY 1 Unit i remains shutdown on administrative hold to resolve various TVA and NRC concerns.

Unit 1 has been on administrative hold I

since June 1, 1985.

As a result, TVA considers that accrual of 1

reporting hours is suspended since the unit has a maximum dependable capacity of 0 MWe.

Accordingly, TVA does not consider cumulative reporting period hours for the period beginning June 1, 1985, when calculating the operating status variables.

During the month Unit 2 operated at a capacity factor of 98.1 percent and generated 796,680 megawatt hours gross electrical power.

Unit 2 automatically scrammed at 1800 hours0.0208 days <br />0.5 hours <br />0.00298 weeks <br />6.849e-4 months <br /> on March 30, 1995, as a result of personnel error during surveillance testing, l

causing the actuation of the ESF system.

Unit 2 did not achieve criticality the remainder of the month; however, Unit 2 did achieve criticality at 0139 hours0.00161 days <br />0.0386 hours <br />2.29828e-4 weeks <br />5.28895e-5 months <br /> on April 2, 1995.

j BROWNS PERRY 3 Unit 3 remains shutdown on administrative hold to resolve various TVA and NRC concerns.
