J. Dyer letter to D. Farrar dated September 14,1993, transmitting Safety Evaluation Report for Revision 5/5a IST Program Reference 3 transmitted the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Safety Evaluation Report for Revision 5/5a Inservice Testing Program Plan for Pumps and Valves. The Technical Evaluation Report which was also transmitted in Reference 3 listed anomalies. These anomalies were addressed by Commonwealth Edison Company (Comed) in Reference 2 and in a March 14,1994 letter. In Reference 2, Attachment A, Braidwood responded to anomaly I by committing that Braidwood would submit a IST program revision in the Spring of 1995. The attachment contains that revision along with a summary of changes to the program.
Contained in this revision are two relief requests (VR-29 and VR-30) which we are requesting for an expedited review prior to the Unit 1 Refuel Outage scheduled for September 22,1995. To aid in this review, please note that identical relief requests (VR-26 and VR-27) were recently reviewed and approved by the Staff for Byron Station. Reference 1 transmitted the Safety Evaluation concerning these relief requests.
