e SP!..iAL ltEPOltT CATAWilA NUCLEAlt STATION, UNIT 1 Vibration and loose Parts Monitoring System Channel 3 On June 9,1991 Channel #3 (Upper lleactor Vessel) of the Vibration and loose Parts Monitoring System was declared inoperable due to a lack of signal on the channel. A missile shield must be removed to repair the channel. Therefore, the channel will not be repaired until a future outage. Channel #4, which is the other Upper Itcactor Vessel Channel, is functioning and provides coverage.
Since the channel has been inoperable for more than 30 days, it is reportable to the NitC pursuant to Technical Specification 3.3.3.9.
