Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TM1-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 TMI-1 Reactor Coolant System Activity Technical Specification This letter is to confirm R. F. Wilson's commitment in your telephone conversation of November 14, 1983 to change TMI-l Technical Specifications on reactor coolant system specific activity to conform with the Standard Technical Specifications. This change would entail the following new limits on RCS activity.
1.
Less than or equal to 1.0 microcurie per gram dose equivalent 1-131 2.
Less than er equal to 100/5 microcuries per gram.
The change would also include the appropriate action requirements for doce equivalent iodine 1-131 with specific activity in excess of 1.0 microcurie per gram as a function of percent of rated thermal power, as well as related surveillance requirements.
A formal technical specification change request will be submitted in the very near future.
