SUMMARY
OF UNIT 2 OPERATING EXPERIENCE OCTOBER 1983 10/1 At the beginning of this reporting period, Unit 2 was operating at 836 MWe with the reactor at 100% power.
10/4 At 2135 commenced reducing power to 600 MWe to facilitate trouble shooting 22 S/G Feed Pump Control Oil System.
10/5 Load was increased to capacity (841 MWe) at 20001 10/7 At 2140 commenced reducing power to 600 MWe to facilitate trouble shooting 22 S/G Feed Pump Control Oil System.
10/10 Load was increased to capacity (832 MWe) at 1400.
10/11 The reactor tripped at 1138 on low S/G water level following the trip of 22 S/G Feed Pump. Failure of 21A Reactor Coolant Pump Vapor Seal necessitated a reactor cooldown to replace the seal.
10/19 At 1315 the unit was paralleled to the grid and reactor power increased to 70%.
Load was held at 70% awaiting the completion of repairs to 22 S/G Feedwater Pump.
10/24 Resumed full load operation (843 MWe) at 0200.
10/26 At 1242 the reactor tripped following closure of the main turbine valves when the operating EHC Pump tripped.
. 10/27 At 0353 the unit was paralleled and returned to full load operation (845 MWe) at 1300.
10/31 At the end of this reporting period, Unit 2 was operating at 847 MWe with the reactor at 100% power.
