Pursuant to the requirements of Appendix r,.Part II, Nonradiological, Environmental Protection' Plan, Section 3.2, a -

copy of the report to the Michigan Water Resources Commission notifying them of a-malfunction of the Turbine Room sump compositor on August 19,-1983, is attached. This report is required by Amendment 54 to Facility-Operating License No. DPR-58 and Amendment No. 40 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-74 dated May 6, 1982.

Review 'of our monitoring records for August 1983 has revealed that a turbine room sump compositor malfunction was not reported. At 2245 hours0.026 days <br />0.624 hours <br />0.00371 weeks <br />8.542225e-4 months <br /> on August 19, 1983, a technician discovered the automatic com-positor was plugged and inactive. A grab sample of the turbine room sump was made to analyze the sump contents. The automatic compositor was restored to service the next day, August 20, 1983.
