SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION DOCKET NO. 50/395 OPERATING LICENSE NO NPf-12 TECHNICAL SPEClflCATIONS CHANGE - TSP 890004-0 RADIOLOGICAL EFFLUENT TECHNICAL SPECiflCATIONS (GENERIC LETTER 89-01) l In accordance with 10CfR50.90, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) is submitting an amendment request to License NPf-12 to change the Technical Specifications (TS)fortheVirgilC.SummerNuclearStation(VCSNS).The proposed change relocates the existing procedural details of the current Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS) to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (0DCM) and procedural details for solid radioactive wastes to the Process Control Program (PCP).
This administrative change is requested in response to Generic Letter 89-01 as part of the line-item Technical Specifications improvement program.
In support of our continuing ef fort to improw Technical Specifications.
SCE&G requests that the NRC review and approve this Technical Specification Change Request by October 15, 1991.
The proposed technical specif kation change is identified in Enclosure 1.
The safety evaluation is provided in Enclosure 2.
A proposed no significant hazards evaluation pursuant to 10CfR50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3.
A complete copy of the revised ODCM is also enclosed for your reference.
This proposed technical specification change has been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Revie. Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee.
