Quad Cities Simulator Four Year Certification Report The Quad Cities Simulator is owned and operated by Comed and Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Companies for the training and testing of Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant Operators. Because of the near duplication between the two Quad Cities Units, the simulator models Unit One with Unit One being considered the reference plant. The simulator was constructed by Link-Miles Simulation Corporation and was declared ready for training in April 1990.

The Quad Cities Simulator is used to conduct NRC Licensing Examinations and is therefore required to meet the criteria established in 10CFR55.45. A report identifying simulator testing status must be submitted to the commission every four years on the anniversary of the simulator certification. The Quad Cities Simulator was certified March 26,1991.

This report summarizes the simulator testing performed since the last certification report submitted to the NRC and describes the simulator testing scheduled until the next NRC report in March of 1999. A full report including test data for any certification year is available upon request.
