L. E. Vorderbrueggen NRC Resident Inspector The NRC will be primarily investigating allegations during this visit. The following allegations are being investiEated:

1. Faulty Electrical Construction This allegation was made by an unidentified individual to the intervenor, Patricia Lee Hourihan, and was brought up at the ASLB hearings.

The NRC has interviewed the individual who made the allegation and will investigate his specific concerns.

2. Improper Heat Treatment

l This allegation was made by Charles Wright at the ASLB hearing i

and has been addressed by Bechtel and APS.

Improper Post Tensioning Activities This allegation was made by an unidentified individual but appears to be similar.to an allegation previously investigated by APS',and also similar to an allegation made by an unidentified individual on channel 3 TV on June 2, 1982.

Improper Electrica'l' Work This allegation was made by an unidentified individual and has not been defined to us by the NRC.

5.

Improper Welding This allegation was made by an unidentified in'dividual and has not been defined to us by the NRC.

The NRC. expects to investigate the first three (3) allegations this week, although their investigation may not be completed. A formal exit meeting

will not be held until af ter the investigations have been completed. However, we will be-informed of any allegatio6 that is substantiated.
