Dear Sir:

Pursuant to 10CFR Part 50.90, Boston Edison Company hereby proposes the following modification to Facility Operating License No. DPR-35, Appendix A. The proposed modification is described in the Attachment to this letter.

This proposed modification should be treated as the third segment of a total of seven submittals addressing the fire protection issue. In accordance with our request in Reference A, we are requesting that a single amendment be issued upon satisfactory review of all our submittals. To facilitate your review, our final submittal will include all of the previous submittals on this issue, in effect, submitting completely revised Technical Specification Section 3/4.12 LC0's and Surveillances.

Please be advised that the Halon 1301 system has not been installed as of this writing. Certain values contained herein may change as a result of testing, however, such changes will be properly addressed. Also, this system will be tested and operational pr'or to startup for Cycle 7.
