Interim Report KMLNRC 83-094 dated 7/20/83 from GLKoester, KG&E, to WCSeidle, NRC Subj: Withdrawal of Potential 10CFR50.55(e) - General Electric AKR Breakers
Dear Mr. Seidle:
On June 20, 1983, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) reported a potential 10CFR50.55(e) item concerning cracked insulated couplings in General Electric AKR breakers. Additional information was subsequently provided in the Reference.
The Architect / Engineer has completed the evaluation of this matter and has determined that the identified concern would not have adversely affected the safety of operations had it gone uncorrected. Therefore, KG&E has concluded that this matter is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e).
