Hanger Notes and Symbols
Dear Mr. Seidle:
On February 21, 1983, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) reported a potential 10CFR50.55(e) item concerning changes to the hanger notes and symbol drawings for Wcif Creek Generating Station, and additional information was subsequently provided in the Reference. The Reference also stated that an.:pdated status would be submitted by September 19, 1983. However, KG&E ms nearing completion of the evaluation on that date and requested an extension so that a final report could be submitted rather than an interim report.
Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff discussed this matter with you on September 19, 1983, and an agreement was reached for extending KG&E's report due date to October 7,1983.
The Architect / Engineer has completed the evaluation of this matter and has determined that the four concerns, identified in the Reference, if lef t uncorrected, would not have adversely affected safety of operations.
Therefore, Kansas Gas and Electric Company has concluded that this matter is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e).
